Southern California AAGBA, CAGBA Angora and Pygora Goats

We took some pictures of a few of the spring 2010 kids today. The little black doe is on my Stock Sales list but looking at her here makes me want to keep her.

Things are very mello today and I am very happy  because Hawks Mountain Ranch Pygoras just released their sales list (to me) today.  I was the 2nd person on the list and so get to browse without the worry of anyone buying the goats I want. Lisa Roskopf  (Hawks Mountain) takes deposits a year ahead of her kidding.  Once the list is ready, she will email each person with a private link to the “sales list.”  It is quite novel and makes you feel so special.  Today is my day, and I am loving it.  I keep going back and forth and looking.

Below is a picture of one of my little Pygora doelings being startled by the peacock.  This little doe is also on our sales list.

Murrieta Mustangs 4-H Poultry Project Chicken Skeleton

My Murrieta Mustangs 4-H poultry project-iers are putting together a chicken skeleton for the Science Fair. We are very proud.  Here is a picture of it (obviously incomplete) with the glue drying.  I just love this picture; it includes things some of my favorites:  Chicken and Starbucks.

MARTIN DALLY VISITS

Martin Dally arrived with his lovely new bride, Joy, to AI our sheep with European semen. Nearly all ewes were inseminated using Gotland semen with the exception of a few Blue Faced Leicesters, Wensleydales and one single Racka. If you’ve never heard of a Racka, Google images! They are amazing.  Look at pictures of our lambs in January.  See our lambs.

More of the Redding clan, daughters, Jory and Jade.

NEW FOUNDATION EWES ADDED TO HERD!

Namaste Farms commissioned Martin Dally (Super Sire LTD.)  to choose high quality ewes to breed for Gotland crosses in 2007.  At the Black Sheep Gathering in Oregon,  Martin chose two Blue Faced Leicesters, two high percentage Wensleydales as well as one Teeswater ewe lamb all of which will be added into our breeding  program. Please keep checking back to see our Sales Page.
